Akuvox - AK-KIT02-2 Wi-Fi installation two wire kit.

In this article, we demonstrate how to install an Akuvox two-wire kit, using the monitor as the central hub.

Devices Used:

• AK-KIT02-2 (includes the AK-R20A-2 door station and C313W-2 monitor)
• Windows 11 PC
• Akuvox IP Scanner
• Internet connection
• 0.5 mm two-wire cable
• Ethernet cable

Wiring the Monitor to the Door Station

For installations with more than two monitors, we recommend using a 48V power supply.
One or two monitors will work fine with the 24V power supply included in the kit.

After Connecting and Powering the Devices

1. Connect your Windows PC or laptop to the same network as the Akuvox kit.
2. Download, install, and launch the Akuvox IP Scanner software.
3. If everything is connected correctly, the devices should appear in the software interface.

Wait until all devices show as online.

Open the confirmation email from Akuvox titled “Welcome to Akuvox Smart Intercom World” and scan the QR code using the SmartPlus app.

Next, make a test call to confirm that the cabling setup is working correctly.

Switching to Wi-Fi

If you plan to use the installation via Wi-Fi:

• On the monitor, select More → Settings.
• Navigate to Network on the right-hand page.
• Open the WLAN tab and connect to the client’s local Wi-Fi.
• Enable Set as DHCP Server.
  This step is essential for communication with the door station. If not enabled, the door station will continue searching for an Ethernet connection instead of using Wi-Fi, and Save.
