TIP: Always check if your version of Safire Control Center is the latest version.

We also recommend always updating the video door phone firmwares before performing the initial configuration.

The necessary steps to configure the SAFIRE SF-VIMOD-KEY6 Video Door Station module are as follows.

Before installing, the first thing to do is to configure the binary address of the module, accessing the back of the device. To do this, just remove the rubber that protects the Dip Switch.

1- Remove the rubber from the back side

2- Set the module address according to the DIP rules and install the rubber cover again on the back.

Digits 1, 2, 3, 4 are used to encode the module address; digits 5, 6, 7 are reserved; digit 8 is a resistor (120Ω) if set as enabled.

The valid module address range is 1 to 8. The number must be unique for modules connecting to the same video door phone main unit.

The module address and corresponding switch status are shown below.

Once the device is installed and the Dip Switch address is set, we will proceed to the configuration in the SAFIRE CONTROL CENTER software.

We open the Software and choose the option "DEVICE MANAGEMENT"

Once in the new menu, we will not have any device in view yet; to do so, click on "ONLINE DEVICES"

We will see a new menu at the bottom and we will have all the devices ONLINE, we must choose them one by one and add them to the software.

mceclip4.png

To add the devices to the software, select for example the EXTERNAL UNIT first and click on "ADD"

mceclip5.png

In the new window, we will put a name for the device and the password we have used in the activation. Then we will check the option "Synchronize the schedule".

Once the device has been added to the Software, we can alter its parameters and make several more advanced settings.

To do this, click on "REMOTE CONFIGURATION"

The next step is to configure the module by accessing the Sub Module option and then click on"Settings" (In our example we have 2 modules, therefore both appear).

The next step is to add the monitors to the video door entry panel, there are several ways to do it, but we are going to dedicate this FAQ to do it from the video door entry panel itself.

To do this, click on "DEVICE MANAGEMENT".

Then click on "ADD"

Then we will have to enter the data of our first screen, this procedure will have to be repeated for each number of screens, if we have 10 screens, we will have to repeat it for each screen.

- We recommend that the password be the same as that of the video door entry panel.

- The SN must be the serial number of the screen.

- Configure the IP (make sure the IP is free to be used)

- Port 8000 (default)

- Floor number (The number of the floor of the apartment)

- Room Number (The number of the screen)

Very important to check the SN and Room Number, write down if necessary.

If necessary, we could confirm if the screen really has the Room number 100, by accessing the screen settings.

mceclip7.png

Then access the "INTERCOM / PRESS BUTTON TO CALL" configuration and select the first button of the KEY6 to call the screen number 100, then if you have another screen, go to button number 2 and put 101 or another numbering, in our example we use 100, 101, 102 for the room number, but it could be 1, 2, 3, 4....
