ConteraIP Fisheye: Resetting to factory defaults

Issue:

The customer has forgotten the password or the camera needs to be reset to defaults.

Important Notes:

• In order to see video an ActiveX plugin must be used with Internet Explorer.
• If there is no DHCP server the default IP will be 192.168.1.13.
• The default credentials are:
  • Username: admin
  • Password: AVCostar

Resolution:

Option 1 (Using the web browser)

1. Log in to the camera.
2. Click Setup > System > Maintenance.
3. Under Config Management click Default.
   • If the checkbox is not enabled, the camera's current TCP/IP settings will be kept.
     
     

Option 2 (Physically at the camera)

1. Press the lock button and remove the dome cover.
2. Remove the MicroSD port cover using a small Phillips screwdriver.
3. Power cycle the camera.
   • The reset switch is only functional for 10 minutes once a camera has been powered on.
4. Using a paperclip, press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds.
