Doorstrike Diode placement

When connecting diode to doorstrike, connect the diode negative end(indicated by silver stripe) to the doorstrike positive terminal (red), and diode positive end to doorstrike negative terminal.

Diode is in place to stop the back EMF surge after solenoid coil discharges which may damage relay contacts. Failure to fit the diode can also cause damage to the intercom system.
