If you’re trying to set up your Swann recorder and see the “Connection Failed” error in the Swann Security app, it usually means the device is already paired to another account.

This error typically appears when:

  • The device was previously set up by a different user.
  • The same recorder is still linked to an old account.
  • The device wasn’t unpaired before attempting to add it again.

Because the Swann Security app only allows one account per device, the app cannot complete the pairing set up if it’s still tied to another login.
