IDIS Camera | Remote Setup prompting for user login on a new camera

Environment:

  • IDIS Camera
  • CVS camera
  • IDIS Discovery software

Issue:

When a new out-of-the-box camera is accessed through "Remote setup", it prompts to enter a username and a password. If no password was ever set, continue with the step below.

Procedure:

  1. Left-click the camera in the list

  2. Left-click the "Reset" Menu, then select from the drop-down menu "Registration Information Reset."

  3. Once prompted, " The operation is completed." Right-click the camera and select "Remote Setup."

  4. Enter the "New password", then Ok when done.

  5. Enter the User and password in the web browser to continue to log into the remote setup.

  6. The IP Camera remote setup menu will display. Done.
