How to add MOXA I/O box to VAST Security Station(VSS)?

Answer

To add MOXA I/O box to the VSS software, please follow the next steps:

Step 1. Connect to the MOXA device using its predefined IP address.

Step 2. Click the User-defined Modbus Addressing tab shown on the left side of the webpage.

Step 3. Click on the Digital Inputs/Outputs section.

Step 4. Set the following values in the table shown on the right:

a) Set the User-defined Start Address of No.1 DO Value to 0016.
b) Set the Function Code of No.1 DO Value to 01: COIL STATUS.
c) Set the value of No.2 DO Pulse Status to 0024.

• • If the model is E1210, set it to 0016.
  • If the model is E1211, set it to 0032.
  • If the model is E1212, set it to 0024.
  • If the model is E1214, set it to 0022.

d) Set the User-defined Start Address of No.4 DI Value to 0000.
e) Set the Function Code of No.4 DI Value to 01: COIL STATUS.

Step 5. Click on the submit button and then click on Save to apply the changes.

Step 6. Open the VSS > Settings page and navigate to the Device Management.

Step 7. Select DI/DO devices. 

Step 8. Click on the I/O+ icon to add a new device, and type the device name and input the basic setting data (shown below).

Please be sure to select the correct model name (already integrated).
