Why am I not receiving notifications?

You may not be receiving notifications because it has been disabled in the AlfredCamera app or the phone settings. It may also be that your device has automatically filtered out Alfred's activities or that your network is disconnected. 

⚠️ Note: If you lost your internet connection at any point, the notifications during the disconnection would not be resent. 

Below are 6 tips that might help fix the problem:

  1. Turn on all notifications in the app
  2. Allow notifications from Alfred on your device's system settings
  3. Lock Alfred in the background
  4. Disable certain settings for Android
  5. Enable autostart when the screen is off (OPPO, ASUS, and Infinix only)
  6. Reinstall the app and restart your phone

 Turn on notifications in the app

  1. Individual Camera device's Activity Detection notifications
  2. Individual Camera device's battery notifications (Android only)
  3. All notifications on the Viewer device

Allow notifications from Alfred on your device's system settings

📱 On iOS devices 

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Notifications

  4. Turn on the Allow Notifications toggle, and check all alert types

📱 On Android devices

  1. Open Settings
  2. Tap Apps

  5. Turn on the All AlfredCamera notifications toggle

Lock Alfred in the background (Android-only and may look different on different devices)

⚠️ Note: When an app is running but is not visible on the screen, it is considered running in the background.

  1. Swipe up and find the AlfredCamera app in the app switcher

  2. Tap on the AlfredCamera logo

  3. Tap Lock this app

Disable certain settings for Android

  1. Swipe up and find the AlfredCamera app in the app switcher

⚡️ Disable Battery Saver mode

Enable autostart when the screen is off (OPPO, ASUS, and Infinix only)

System Settings > Security > Privacy Permission > Startup Manager > turn on the Alfred Camera toggle

Reinstall the app and restart your phone

When you don’t receive notifications from an app, restarting your phone or reinstalling the app can often resolve this issue. This is because even if the issue is a frozen or crashed app, or a bad network connection, doing so may automatically resolve those issues and avoid a long troubleshooting process.
