RESET Dahua/X-Security Recorders

To recover the admin password of Deahua/X-Security recorders there are 3 methods

• The first one is for quite old recorders, it consists of a master password according to the DVR date, Day/Month/Year, for the admin user. The date will be indicated by email or phone to the technical service, and they will give 3 options of passwords, which will be tested with Monitor and Mouse by selecting the admin user, once inside the equipment you can return to factory or change the admin password indicating as old password the master password.

• The second option is for a few models of equipment later than the previous ones, it is a master password, but this is a function of the serial number of the recorder. The serial number will be indicated to the technical service and, as in the previous mode, it will be used to access the DVR with the monitor and mouse

• The last method is for new recorders (2019-2020 onwards approximately). These units have a reset button on the board and these steps must be followed:
• 1. Turn off the DVR;
• 2. Press and hold the button;
• 3. Turn on the DVR;
• 4. Press and hold the reset button for 30 sec;
• 5. Create a new password for the administrator account.
