Why can’t the app pair Kami Wire-Free Camera?
Note: Please note it might take several attempts to pair the camera in the app.
Pairing Tutorial:
1. Confirm your Kami Smart Security Base Station is powered on and properly connected to your home network.
2.Please install the battery into Kami Wire-Free Camera and the device will turn on automatically.
3. After hearing “Welcome”, close the Kami Wire-Free Camera and place it within the recommended distance of fewer than 12 inches from the Base Station.
4. Press and hold the main button on the top of the Camera for 2s. Wait for about 10s, the camera will automatically pair with the Base Station.
5. Open the Kami Home App and your Kami Wire-Free Camera should now appear in the list.
Precautions:
1. Possible reasons for pairing failure
(1) Network problem: The pairing process requires an internet connection. Please confirm that your network connection is normal, or you can contact your network provider to solve the problem.
(Note: May receive a Wi-Fi password error when MAC address filtering is not enabled.)
(2) The Kami Smart Security Base Station has more than 4 devices. One Base Station supports up to 4 cameras. If the number of cameras exceeds 4, you need to add another Kami Smart Security Base Station in order to pair another camera.
(3) The distance between the device and the Base Station may be too far. Please ensure that the distance between the camera and the Base Station is less than 12 inches when pairing, otherwise, the Base Station may not receive the sound signals from the camera.

How to turn off the alarm sound of the Base Station in Away mode?
Open the App, enter the Base Station tab. You will see a red “Warning” message on the right side of the Base Station that is giving the alarm. Click on the “Warning” message and the alarm prompt page will open. Click the “Turn off the alarm” button at the bottom of the page to close the alarm.

How many devices can a Base Station be paired with?
A Kami Smart Security Base Station can be connected to up to 4 Kami Wire-Free Cameras and an unlimited number of sensors.
If you need to use more than 4 Kami Wire-Free Cameras, you will need to purchase more Base Stations to support the additional cameras.

In Away mode, the App received an alarm message from the camera, but why didn’t the Base Station sound an alarm?
At present, the Base Station alarm sound in Away mode only triggers alarms triggered by the sensors and not the cameras.

Can the Base Station be used without the network cable?
No. The Kami Smart Security Base Station can only communicate with the network through the network cable.

How do I pair a sensor to a specific Base Station?
When pairing sensors, you do not need to select a specific Base Station for pairing. In the pairing state, as long as the sensor is close to the Base Station that needs to be connected to, the device will automatically pair. If the sensor is close to multiple Base Stations at the same time, the sensor will select the Base Station with the strongest signal to connect.
Why can’t I pair the Kami Entry Sensor/Kami Secure Home Motion Sensor?
Pairing Tutorial:
(The following is an example of the Kami Entry Sensor, the tutorial applies to all Kami sensors)
1. Click the “Add” button in the upper right corner to select the Kami Entry Sensor or Kami Motion Sensor and enter the pairing process.
2. Insert the battery of Kami Entry Sensor or Kami Motion Sensor into the device, the device will automatically turn on.
3. Please confirm that the indicator is flashing.
4. If the indicator does not flash, reset the device by pressing the reset button with the supplied Reset Pin for 1 second as shown.
5. Place the device near the Base Station and click “Next” in the App. The device will automatically start pairing.
6. If the connection is not successful, please try again Step 4 – Reset the device

What if the sensor cannot be paired to the Base Station?
Please confirm that the LED indicator (Kami Entry Sensor/Kami Motion Sensor) is flashing when pairing. The LED indicator must be flashing to be paired. If the LED indicator is not flashing, you will need to press the reset button with the included Reset Pin for less than 1 second and release.
Setup/Pairing of your Kami Smart Security Base station
1. Open the package and take out the Kami Smart Security Base station. USB-Ethernet Adapter, network cable, and Power Adapter.
2. Prepare a router that has Internet access
3. Click the (+) symbol in the top right corner of the app home screen. Under Select Device(s), click on Kami Smart Security Base Station. Plug in the Power Adapter and USB-Ethernet Adapter of the Base Station as shown. Then, press the “Next” button.
4. Please ensure that your smartphone and the Kami Smart Security Base Station are connected to the same router. You will then see the Base Station device displayed on the app.
5. You will see the LED on the Base Station flashing to indicate that is it in pairing mode.
6. After your Kami Smart Security Base Sation is paired, you can assign a name and label for the device.
7. Next, have your Kami Wire-Free Camera and battery ready. Install the battery as shown in the diagram.
8. Move the Kami Wire-Free Camera close to the Kami Smart Security Base Station, and verify that the Base Station is turned on.
9. Press and hold the main button (on the top) for 2 seconds.
10. Once the Kami Wire-Free Camera is paired, you can assign a name to it.

Kami Entry Sensor/Kami Motion Sensor installation precautions.
1. Door and window magnetic installation precautions
(1) Install the larger main unit of the equipment on the door frame/window frame, and place the magnet on the door/window.
(2) Please be sure that the distance between the main unit and the magnet is less than 10mm (3/8”) after installation.
2. Kami Motion Sensor installation precautions:
(1)Please install the device at least 4 feet above the ground for the best detection range.

How to remove the battery of Kami Entry Sensor/Kami Motion Sensor.
1. Removing the battery cover of the Kami Entry Sensor and removing the battery.
(1) Open the battery cover from the top as shown below. You do not need to remove the device back cover from the adhesive.
(2) Hold the plastic tab shown below back out of the way of the battery, insert your finger or flat tool into the opening shown, and pull out the battery.
2. Removing the battery cover of the Kami Motion Sensor and remove the battery.
(1) Hold the body of the sensor and unscrew the device face counter-clockwise as shown, without removing the device from the adhesive.
(2) Hold the plastic tab shown below back out of the way of the battery, insert your finger or flat tool into the opening shown, and pull out the battery.

How to install the battery of Kami Motion Sensor.
(1) Hold the ends and unscrew the back cover (toward the unlock symbol) as shown in the image below.
(2) Insert the battery into the side with 2 tabs first, then press the other end of the battery until it clicks into place.
(3) Replace the back cover of the device, align the notch with the unlocking mark, and rotate it to the lock mark. If the sensor was previously installed, hold the sensor body while rotating to avoid pulling it loose from its adhesive surface.

Kami Motion Sensor battery average duration and replacement frequency?
(1) General battery life is about 1 year. It is recommended you replace the battery within one year to avoid any downtime with your system.
(2) When the battery is too low and the device is offline or disconnected, the APP will prompt you to check the device status and replace the battery.
Precautions for Wire-Free Home Camera Kit outdoor use
(1) If you want to use Kami Wire-Free Camera outdoors, please take it outside after the pairing process is complete. Confirm the signal strength with the Base Station on the App before mounting the camera outside. It is recommended not to exceed a distance of 65 feet from the Base Station, or to separate the Base Station and camera with multiple walls to avoid weakening signal transmission.

Do not charge your Wire-Free Home Camera Kit outdoors.
The environment outdoors can have a wide variety of conditions. Changes in temperature, humidity, etc. during charging can affect the health of the device. DO NOT CHARGE your Kami Wire-Free Camera outdoors. This may have a fatal impact on the battery. Only charge indoors and only use the Kami Battery Charger.

The relationship between battery life and different modes of Kami Wire-Free Camera.
1. Motion detection is always on
(1) Applicable to the monitoring space with average and infrequent traffic flow
(2) For example: If there is someone in the garage. In this mode, as long as someone enters the range of the camera, the camera will record.
2. Motion detection is off
(1) Applicable to no security monitoring needs. This mode is best for viewing the camera remotely when needed.
(2) For example: Check up on an elderly parent, watch pets, monitor your children. Turning off motion detection with this mode will reduce power consumption
3. My plan
(1) According to your schedule at home, you can assign a specific “motion detection” start time.
(2) Turn on the motion detection when you are not at home, keep alert; turn it off when you are at home to save power.
4. Monitoring is always on
Suitable for long-term monitoring, such as shops, monitoring children, etc. (With this mode, we recommend you keep the camera plugged in with a Power Adapter (available separately) and purchase 7/24 cloud storage).
