If we classify NVR based on wireless function, it can be divided into wireless NVR and wired NVR.
Wireless NVR means the connection between NVR and IPC is wifi, not cable. The cable is not necessary to connect NVR and IPC.
But wireless NVR and camera still have an ethernet port in case the wifi between them is lost.
In that situation, you need to use a wire to connect NVR and IPC to set up wifi.
The wired NVR can also be divided into POE NVR and non-POE NVR based on POE function.
POE means IPC can be plugged into NVR directly and the camera doesn‘t need to connect to the power adapter.
