This guide covers keypad-based configuration of the Dahua VTO2023S 2-Wire Hybrid Villa Door Station — including setting the admin password, managing access cards, and managing opening passwords. All configuration is done directly on the door station keypad without requiring a connected monitor or PC.
S Series Only
Keypad software configuration is only supported on the S series door station (e.g. VTO2023S). Non-S series models do not support these functions.
The admin password must be configured before any other function — cards and opening passwords cannot be added until it is set.
How the Keypad Mode Works
-
Enter setting mode
Press
* — all three indicator lights turn red to confirm you are in setting mode.
-
Successful configuration
The indicator light turns blue for 2 seconds then turns off.
-
Failed configuration
The indicator turns off and the device beeps. Check the sequence entered and try again.
-
Capacity limits
Up to 100 cards and 100 opening passwords can be stored. If either limit is exceeded the device beeps and the entry is rejected.

The admin password is required to add or delete cards and opening passwords. Configure it first before anything else.
