This guide helps you troubleshoot a Swann Security recorder (DVR, NVR, NVW, MaxRanger4K™, AdvancedX™) that has lost remote access and is no longer showing as online in the app.

By the end of this guide, your goal is to see Agent Cloud Link Status: Connected

Main Menu > System > Information

Before You Start (Quick Checks)

  1. Make sure the recorder is powered on
  2. Router is powered on (and you have the Wi-Fi credentials if using wireless setup)
  3. Have access to the recorder’s local menu (monitor + mouse)
  4. Choose Your Recorder Type:
