How to backup a part of a recording using SwannView Link software?

Search for the recording that you need

• In this process, we are not going to the BACKUP tab. Instead, we’ll do it on PLAYBACK.
• Having that said, go to PLAYBACK > REMOTE PLAYBACK and search for the recording.
  • The goal is for us to see the timeline below.

How to Cut and Copy

• Click the Cut icon  to start. 2 scissor icons will show up on the timeline of that channel and the cut icon will be in color blue. This represents the START and END time.
  
• Click and drag the scissor icons to the desired START and END time.
• Then click on Save
• The Backup prompt will show up and the process is just the same with backing up recording.

Prompt while downloading.

Once it’s done, it will just disappear.

• If you want to play the recording you’ve downloaded, click on PLAYBACK >LOCALPLAYBACK.
  
• Click the + sign at the upper right and look for the file.
  • This can only play h.264 file.
  • Once it’s added, just double click the file and it will start playing.
