Exporting recordings to a USB is a simple yet crucial task for managing your security footage. This guide will help you complete the process quickly and confidently.

Requirements

Before you begin exporting your recordings, it’s important to ensure your setup meets the necessary requirements. Use this checklist to verify compatibility and avoid any interruptions during the process.

  1. Use a Flash Drive:
    • Use a flash drive (not an external HDD).
    • Ensure the drive is FAT32 formatted and 32GB or smaller for compatibility.
  2. Connecting the Flash Drive:
    • For DVRs/NVRs: Plug the flash drive into any USB port.
    • For NVW Recorders:
      • Connect the flash drive to the 'Mouse/Backup' USB port.
      • Move the USB mouse to the 'Storage' port.
      • If using the 'Storage' port to store recordings, use a USB Hub on the 'Mouse/Backup' port to connect both the mouse and the flash drive.
    • Once the flash drive is connected, there won't be any prompt that it's been detected as it will just see that right away. If you want to check, you can go to the Menu > Device > HDD.

Search for Recordings

  1. From the Live feed, right-click to show the Menu bar. Select the Search button located at the set of icons at the bottom-left.
