How to link the wifi on a Safire consumer camera in the initial installation

It is the method of the consumer cameras in its first start when there is no RJ45 connection:


1. From Safire Connect we scan the QR of the device label containing the serial number (or we put it manually)

2. We connect the tablet or smartphone that is running Safire Connect and when the phone sees with the cloud that the serial number of that device is not connected to the internet, it offers us to connect to the wifi generated by the camera

3. We connect the mobile to the wifi generated by the camera, which has no password and remains visible for a period of time

4 We provide the app with the password of the wifi network with which the camera has to connect

5. The app exchanges the information. The camera stops generating this wifi and connects to the wifi provided and to the cloud server via the internet.

6. After a few moments the phone reconnects to the surrounding wifi and checks that the cloud server has registered that serial number

7. Add that device to the P2P account that we have active in the app.


It is very important that the mobile before starting the process is in a 2.4 GHz wifi network, which will be the one that we will give the credentials to the camera to stay connected to it and access the internet and reach the P2P cloud.


It is possible that some models of mobile or its version of the operating system may have problems or restrictions to connect to a wifi network without password and that does not give access to the internet (only creates a minimal local network for the exchange of the credentials of the wifi of the installation where the camera is going to stay working).


In any case, in camera models with RJ45, in case of problem, the easiest way would be to initialize it and configure it by Ethernet cable and SADP and web access by IP, connecting there to the corresponding wifi in a simple way, and then disconnecting it from the wired network.
