Answer

Depending on the model, each VIVOTEK NVR will support an specific number of channels:

• Linux based NVR: 4-CH, 8-CH, 16-CH, 32CH
• Windows based NVR: 64-CH, 128-CH

Unfortunately, the number of channels in a Linux-based NVR cannot be increased beyond its maximum capacity, as this is a hardware limitation of each device. Therefore, if you require more video inputs than the NVR can support, you would need to consider using additional NVRs or upgrading to a different model that supports a higher number of channels.
