Tips for giving your device a fresh start

In this article, you will find out some general suggestions to fix any issues in the app:

• Update the app
• Restart your device
• Factory reset on your Camera device

Update the app

We update the app regularly for bug fixes and better performance. Updating the app to the latest version might help fix your issue. 

Restart your device

Android

1. Hold the power button on the side of the phone
2. A menu with the option to Shut Down or Reboot will pop up
3. Click "Reboot"
4. If the operating system doesn't respond, you can hold down both the power and volume up buttons

iOS

1. Hold the power button on the side of the phone
2. Slide to power off
3. If the operating system doesn't respond, you can long-press both the power button and the home key

Factory reset on your camera device

In some situations, other apps could interfere with Alfred’s operation. If none of the steps above work, you might want to reset your camera device to factory settings after backing up your data.

Note: Performing a factory reset will delete all your data and get the software back to its original state. 

Android

1. Back up your data to your Google account
2. Open Settings 
3. Select System
4. Expand the menu by hitting Advanced
5. Go into Reset options
6. Hit Erase all data (factory reset)
7. Tap on Erase all data
8. Enter your PIN if prompted
9. Select Erase all data and let the phone do its thing

iOS

Use iCloud to back up your phone:

1. Open Settings
2. Tap on your name at the top of the page
3. Tap iCloud
4. Tap iCloud Backup
5. Tap Back up now

With your phone backed up, please factory reset it by following these steps:

1. Open the Settings
2. Select General
3. Scroll to the bottom and select Reset
4. Select Erase All Content and Settings
