Once you have installed the VORTEX application, adding VORTEX compatible devices are very easy. Here is a detailed step-by-step guide that will teach you how to add the device:
Adding VORTEX Cameras:
Step 1. In your mobile device, run the VORTEX application.

Step 2. Access the VORTEX service using your email and password.

Step 3. Click on your account icon to open the application menu.

Step 4. Click on "+ Add devices" button to start adding your device.

The application will open the camera feature (be sure to enable the respective permissions). Then, scan the QR code located either on the package box or on the camera itself.

If the scan is successful, you will first see the camera's general information. Be sure that the information displayed is correct.

Step 5. Click on the "Add" button to add the device to your account. Once added you will see the following message:

If you want to keep adding devices, click on the "Add another device" button and repeat the same process.
Step 6. Check that the device is visible in the application. Please be noted that NVR information WILL NOT be shown on the View page, only Device page.

Adding NVR Devices (VORTEX Connect compatible):
For the NVR device, before you add it to your VORTEX account, please ensure that you have enabled VORTEX Connect service from the cloud service page of your NVR on the web page or local site, please refer to the following steps:
Step 1. Login to the NVR Webpage/Local site.
Step 2. Go to System -> Cloud service, and you will find VORTEX Connect service.

Step 3. Enable VORTEX Connect service, then all the information required for adding device will show on the below.

Step 4. Launch your VORTEX application and follow the same steps mentioned in the camera section.
Step 5. Scan the QR code or manually type the device ID into the application to add the NVR to the VORTEX account.
Step 6. then you will first see the general information. Be sure that the information displayed is correct.

There is a button on the page that allows you to decide whether to use the same settings as NVR. When this function is turn on: (Recommend turning on if the basic settings have been configured on the NVR)
- Device name: No information shows up. Directly using the same name as NVR.
- Device group: Ungrouped cameras as default device group name, or you can either add your camera to created group or a new group you create right now.
- Time zone: No information shows up. Directly using the same time zone as NVR.
When this function is turn off:
- Device name: NVR name is editable, default name “NVR + number (start from 1 to 99)”.
- Device group: Ungrouped cameras as default device group name, or you can either select group you created on list or create a new group.
- Time zone: Same as the time zone you set on the VORTEX.
Step 7. Once you finish the preliminary configurations, if any, click on the "Add" button to add the device to your account. Once added you will see the following message:

If you want to keep adding devices, click on the "Add another device" button and repeat the same process.
Step 8. Once the application connects to the NVR, it will show you all devices behind your NVR device.

You can check specific details of the NVR device in the application by clicking on the account icon at the top left corner and then selecting the NVR device.

The application will display the name of the NVR device and how many cameras are added to it.

You can also visit the VORTEX Portal to ensure that the NVR has been properly added to the system and can be properly visualized.
