As the camera has a POE system, which means the RJ45 Ethernet port can be used to transfer power and video signal.
The power cord is a spare one in case you need to plug the camera to a power source in certain circumstance.
Therefore, please ignore that power cord. The camera is a true POE IP camera without any doubt.
