1. Initial Checks

  • Ensure the UPS is properly connected to a 200–240V AC power source.
  • Verify that the power switch is turned on.
  • Check the LED indicators for any error or battery status.

2. Battery Issues

  • If the UPS does not power on or shuts down quickly:
    • Confirm that the 4 batteries are properly installed.
    • Allow 4–5 hours for full recharge if the unit was recently installed or unused.

3. Load Problems

  • Make sure the connected devices do not exceed, the maximum total.
  • Use only the protected output sockets for critical equipment.

4. Communication & Monitoring

  • Install the UPSilon 2000 software to monitor UPS status and logs.
  • If using SNMP or relay cards, ensure they are correctly inserted and configured.
  • Download link: UPSilon 2000 V5.4

5. Changing Polarity of the 240V Plug

⚠️ Important Safety Note: Changing plug polarity should only be done by a qualified electrician. Incorrect polarity can damage equipment or pose a safety hazard.

  • Step-by-step (for qualified personnel only):
    1. Disconnect the UPS from the power source.
    2. Open the plug casing carefully.
    3. Identify the live (L) and neutral (N) wires.
    4. Swap the connections: connect the live wire to the neutral terminal and vice versa.
    5. Reassemble the plug and test with a polarity tester before reconnecting.

6. Resetting the UPS

  • If the UPS is unresponsive:
    • Disconnect all devices.
    • Turn off the UPS and unplug it.
    • Wait 1 minute, then reconnect and power on.
