Answer: Yes.
With the Sub-1GHz frequency band the MaxRanger4K™ Power Hub, Base Station, and cameras are operating in, antennas are required to be fitted to ensure reliable operation. For maximum signal strength we recommend that you setup your hub and cameras with the antennas facing straight up, but if this is not possible the next best option is for the camera's antenna to be straight down.
TIP: Tighten the hex nut on the back of the MaxRanger4K™ Power Hub to securely fasten the antenna mount and screw in the antenna without applying excessive force, as doing so could damage the pigtail, the wire connecting the antenna mount and the Hub motherboard.
