Hikvision - Configuration of Hikvision Wifi Cameras without Web Interface (W)

Hikvision Wifi IP cameras whose name ends with (W), for example DS-2CD2421G0-IW(2.0mm)(W), do not have a web interface, so their configuration is done through the Hik-Connect APP or the iVMS-4200 software.

Wifi Configuration via Hik-Connect

You only need to connect the camera to power without connecting it via Ethernet and use the APP to configure the wifi network it should connect to. The mobile phone must already be connected to that Wifi.

IMPORTANT: If you configure the camera using this method, the admin password activation is done automatically, with the password being the VERIFICATION CODE found on the camera’s sticker.

Configuration via iVMS-4200

Connect the camera via Ethernet, activate it with SADP, and set an IP for the wired connection. Then add it to iVMS-4200, and within the settings you can access the Wifi configuration.

To set the static IP for Wifi:

To configure camera events, use the Hik-Connect APP. For example, for the DS-2DE2C200IWG/W(2.8mm)(W) camera, which has person detection events, you would activate it in this section.

Detection Area - Set the detection zone
Sensitivity - Event sensitivity
Alarm Sound Mode - Volume the camera emits when the event occurs
Detection Mode - If you want the event triggered by person detection or motion detection
