Safire - Record to the microSD card of an IP camera

Note:

This test was performed with Safire camera model SF-IPB025WHA-4PW with firmware version: V5.5.110 build 201022.

The settings may be different for the model you are using.


SD card preparation


Open the confirmation page through Safire Control Center or IE Internet browser.


1. Go to storage

2. Storage management

3. Hard disk management

4. Select the drive (microSD card)

5. Format

6. Click OK in the new window

7. Wait a minute or two (it may take longer depending on the size)



IMPORTANT: Sometimes large capacity cards may come in exFAT, so you will need to format it first on a PC. And then from the camera.

Create the recording schedule


1. Go to Calendar Settings

2. Record schedule

3. Enable the schedule

4. Select the type of recording

5. Edit the active time

6. To facilitate the copy, click on the copy icon

7. Select the day to which you want to copy

8. Check OK

9. Save

When switching to "Countinous" and recording to events it will be mandatory to set up event recording to SD card as well.


Note: Continuous recording to microSD card is not recommended, as in a few months it may consume the write cycles supported by the card, and the card will become unreliable.

Recording events to microSD card


1. Go to the event

2. Select the type of event (Basic or Smart)

3. Select the detection

4. Enable detection (set arming area and time)

5. Select the pairing method

6. Check the option Upload to FTP / Memory Card

7. Save

Through remote playback you should be able to indicate in color the type of recording.

Please note that the Recording Schedule is always in control of the recording status.
