Safire Smart - POS

In order to configure the POS function in the Safire Smart recorders, the recorder configuration menu must be accessed, either through the web configuration or through the configuration of the physical recorder itself.

In this article, we will proceed to the configuration through the web browser.

First of all, access the System --> Basic Settings

In the POS Settings section, the required parameters must be configured as follows:

1. Enable: ON

2. Connection: UDP

3. Connection Settings 

   POS IP: The IP address of the device sending the information must be indicated

   POS PORT: The Port of the device sending the information must be indicated

4. Protocol: Generic

5. Trigger Camera: Select Camera

6. Display Settings: Configure General Settings, Display Position and Display Mode 

7. Encoding Format: utf-8

To perform the corresponding function test, it is recommended to use the free software USR-TCP232-Test.

The software will be configured with the following parameters:

1. Protocol: UDP

2. The IP of the device sending the information

3. The Port of the device sending the information

4. Recv Options: Receive as HEX

5. Send Options: Send Recycle

6. Remote IP: IP of the receiving NVR

7. Port: Port of the receiving NVR (Safire Smart Port 9036)

8. The information can be sent by means of a text document previously loaded in the computer, or directly through the text box of the software itself
