There are 3 ways to view the image of cameras on the system.
1. View images on the monitor don't need the Internet. So a router is not necessary for view on the monitor.
2. If you want to view on the computer and phone, you need the Internet. So a router is necessary for view on the computer and phone.
But please notice the system should not be connected to a computer or phone directly by cable. The system could be plugged into the router to connect the Internet by ethernet cable. Phones and computers are also connected to the Internet. Finally, the phone and computer can use the Internet to connect the system.
