Go to Maintenance > NVR Upgrade > Check for Updates.
Format the hard disk: Go to Setup > Storage > Hard Disk, select the disk, and click Format.
Network settings.
Installation wizard
When we turn on the NVR for the first time, we first see the startup image.
Here, we select the language and location in the NVR.
Then read the entire Privacy Statement first, confirm that you have read everything and then click OK.
Now we can proceed with the wizard.
Set the time zone and don't forget the time and date format so that it is set to the Dutch default. Day, Month, and Year. Turn on the DST (Daylight Saving Time).

B. Override the default password and follow the password requirements
C. Confirm password
D. View password

A. Enter your own question
B. Enter the answer to your question
C. Click add to enter the question into the system (there is an option to create more than one)
Click Next.

Here you should see the installed HDD(s).
We recommend formatting the HDD if this is a new HDD or recorder.
Click Format to format the HDD.
OK to confirm.
Click Next when the NVR is finished.
Disable the option if repeating the wizard is not necessary.
Then continue with the wizard for the rest of the settings.
Enable DHCP. (Always useful when you have no knowledge of the connected network).
The DNS IP address generally works best with that of Google 8.8.8.8
Click Next.
Tip:
When the IP address is in the same rank of the PoE connections (this only with PoE NVR or with two network connections), they may not be the same. In short, when you turn on DHCP and you get an IP address starting with 10.151.151.xxx, then you need to adjust the internal IP rank to for example 10.151.151.xxx. 10.10.10.1
Adding cameras
A. Here are the cameras that are already connected to the PoE of the NVR (they will be automatically set in the NVR)
B. To add a camera from the local network, click on the + (this for the non PoE and dual network connections)
C. The NVR will update the data and add the camera.
D. When the camera is added, the following is displayed
If the camera is offline, it may be because the camera's password is different from the NVR's default password for the camera.
A. Then click the edit icon to update the password.
Update the password and click OK.
Then Next When the Camera is Online.
Select the recording mode and recording type.
This can also be changed later, the best option is to choose the last option, this will also turn on all the options immediately so that there are no missed shots.
And click Next.
Scan the QR with the Safire Smart mobile app as needed to view the NVR on the mobile device.
Click the closed eye to see the NVR's security code.
Click Next.
You should now be done with the wizard.
🔄 Step 4: Performing firmware updates
You can do the update via the NVR configuration page in your web browser.
To update the firmware:
💾 Step 5: Formatting a hard drive
🌐 Step 6: Network settings
Network settings:
Go to Network > TCP/IP.
DHCP is enabled by default; you can also set a static IP address.
For speed and reliability, we recommend using Google DNS.
