Safire Smart - basic course - Setting up the Cameras

To set up Safire Smart's IP cameras, we recommend first activating the IP cameras via a PoE switch.

For this we need the program IP Manager Tool, you can find the latest version on the product page. Or this link: - IP Manager Tool v1.0.7.14_20230322.

Now download and install the IP Manager Tool program.

Connect the new Safire Smart cameras to the PoE switch.

The program will immediately start scanning for cameras on the network.

We see here that the cameras are not active, so we select the cameras, create a password for the cameras and click Activate, to activate the cameras.

This may take a while, give it time.

Note: it may happen that you see an error, but most of the time it goes fine and there is a network timeout.

We see here that everything is active but still with the same IP address.

There are two options, DHCP or assign an IP address.

To assign an IP address, however, it is necessary to see if the IP address is not already in use.

It is easier to set the cameras to DHCP first.

Select the cameras, obtain automatically and on Batch Set.

Now that everything is active and has an IP address from the network, the NVR can be set up.
